Brief History: Helga formerly known as Aoi Minakami was born in Hoofkaido, Neighpon on a fishing community. For some unexplained reason, Aoi was banished from her community, leading her to live a life of thievery and eventually, forming a mercenary group of her own. A brief skirmish which pitted her against a GRG member managed to turn her life around, resulting her to fell in love with the GRG member and gave up her status as a mercenary. She eventually moved to the Griffin Kingdom and started a new life and changed her name to Helga Mizukami, with the surname being a last reminder of her past.

Being an experienced mercenary, Helga had an exceptional fighting skills and she also had some knowledge of the Neighponese martial arts. She adopted the call sign Rōnin to reflect on how she worked for different bidders. Despite she already become a mother to one cub, Helga still had some skills she hid behind her wings. She was one of the many griffons that refused Red Cyclone's call to battle the Equestrians; remarking that the war Red Cyclone had started was "idiotic and nonsensical".
